BioMy name is Carl Ashley Raphael Barât. I was born in Basingstoke, England, and spent the better part of my late teens and twenties in London, which is the place in England I most adore, although I'm basically in love with all of Merry Old England. I was in The Libertines and later Dirty Pretty Things. I still consider myself a Libertine--the Libertines mightn't be in existence but the philosophies set forth by Peter and I as Libertines are the philosophies I try to live by. Peter and I are lovers, as was much speculated. I was also lovers with Didz Hammond, Anthony Rossomando, and Tim Burgess, although perhaps not to the same extent.
